What major should I take for a career in dentistry?

What major should I take for a career in dentistry?
Doesn't matter too much. Like most of the medical field professional schools, they don't care what you major in. Just take the prerequisite courses.
Reply:Everyone I have ever met in Dentistry school had a degree in either biology or chemistry.
Reply:Depends on what you want to specialize in and how far you already are in your studies. You can be a DDS (doctor of dental science, I think) an Oral Surgeon, an Orthodontist to name the few that I know. Contact the college where you want to study and ask for an admissions advisor. Make sure their program is acredited by the proper authorities in your state before you begin.
