My bad wisdom tooth story. Do you have a bad dentistry story to share as well?

I had my wisdom teeth pulled like normal and they tell me that my teeth were very hard to break.

I go home and it is the normal bleeding but the lower right hole keeps bleeding a lot and it doesn't stop. So finally I look closer at my tooth and there is a piece of food stuck in there. I can't get it out so I wiggle it with my tongue and it sticks me. It wasn't food! It was a small sliver of wisdom tooth. Since it was small, I didn't want to go to the doctor again so I went in the shower to pull ut out. It was so small so no problem, right?

I grabbed it and I started pulling. It came out smoothly but it felt like I pulled it 2 inches and then it gets stuck when it is almost out. I pulled really hard and it hurt so much. Then it felt like pulling a deep root out of the garden. RIP! I got it out and it bled really bad. I sure am glad that I am not doing that again!

Any other bad dentistry stories?

When I was in third grade, I had a cavity. Apparently it was infected, and to the point that it formed a sac of pus on my right jawline. We didn't know that was what the bump was from.. My mom took me to the ER because I couldn't eat. They said that I had toncillitis, and they gave me medicine to treat it. It didn't help, so she took me to the doctor again. He said I had strep throat, they gave me medicine, and it didn't work. The third time she took me to the doctor, and they said my lymph nodes were infected, and that they would have to cut into my jaw and drain it all out. I had the surgery to drain it all out, and they took my stitches out, all that.. and about a week after they took my stitches out, the bump started to come back. The scar reopened, and all this nasty stuff drained out, but the bump didn't go away. I had a dentist appointment for what we thought was an unrelated cavity. The dentist ended up having to put me to sleep to cut out three teeth so my jaw would heal.
