Has anyone heard of GTR(guide tissue regeneration) in dentistry?
GTR is a periodontal surgery technique for treatment of deep pocket.
we place a membrane between the mucosa and the bone so that to prevent cells from the tissue to invade the space and leave cells from the periodontal ligaments to repair the defect.. we may use bone graft as well.
