What GCSE grades do I need for dentistry?

I am really stressed and worried!I am in year 11 now and I am doing my GCSEs. I am targeted a 'D' for English. As English is my second language! I am trying really hard to get a better grade for English!

I was also wondering to know which A-levels i have to do at college for dentisrty!! and is it true that if you resit any of ur A-levels e.g chemistry then you won't be able to do dentistry at university because they won't accept your A-level which has been reset!oh plz helppppp meee!!thnx

Get high grades in GCSE and then do the A Levels in science related subjects. For these you need to get high grades so aim at A's. Most schools of dentistry will accept retaken A levels but if there are an overload of candidates then they will only take the best. Best of luck.

Reply:Well you need to be doing double science at GCSE level to be able to do at least 2 science subjects at A' level as these will be needed to get into Uni to study dentistry!

Most Uni's ask for 3 A'level with ABB grades minimum, 2 of these need to be a science subject!
Reply:Kermit is right. You will need better grades than those required to be a Doctor. I think only vets need better qualifications. Ironic, don't you think??
