Pre-dentistry major and AP courses!!!!?

I am a junior in high school that wants to major in pre-dentistry. Next year i can take either AP Biology or AP Chemistry, but not both. Which one would be most helpful/appropriate for my pre-dentistry major? Explain?

I would prefer answers from students that are pursuing degrees in dental related fields, but others may answer!

Thanks!

Pre-dentistry major and AP courses!!!!?
You're going to have to retake both of those courses for preparation for dental school anyway, so take whichever you're more interested in. They're both important.

Let me explain: no medical or dental school wants to see only a high-school class as fulfillment of that prerequisite. I won't say that it will absolutely scuttle your chances--if your grades and DAT are sparkling otherwise and everything else on your application is great, it probably won't matter. But generally speaking, they don't want to see "equivalents" of college courses, they want to see that you've taken the college courses.

The pre-reqs for dental school are, I believe, the same as those for medical school: one year each of English, chemistry, organic chemistry, biology and physics, plus a slightly variable math requirement (some schools require it, some don't).

Good luck!
Reply:I haven't taken either of those AP courses, but I'd do AP Biology.
