Dentistry Work Experience?

Is it normal for applicants to study dentistry to have work experience? Did you if you're a student now?





I ask as I haven't been offered any position to do work experience after applying to about 30 places %26amp; wondered if it's for health %26amp; safety or privacy reasons rather than just me??

Work experience is certainly a help to get into any Uni course. Most people I see organised the W.E. through their school in 4th or 5th year.





You could try writing to local dentists and VOLOUNTEERING to assist in their practice for about 2 weeks, then that should give you a leg-up to get going?





I am not aware of any H%26amp;S issues that restrict it, and they could ask you to sign a "Non-disclosure" form.
