What is gentle dentistry?

Every day on the way home from work I pass a place that has "GENTLE DENTISTRY" in large print on their sign. What does that mean, exactly? Is that just advertising or is gentle dentistry different from "regular" dentistry that I am used to?

What is gentle dentistry?
Our office advertises as the gentle dental. This is because we offer sedation for routine dental work, which many offices dont. Also we are trained to deal with patients who are terrified of the dentist and we know how to calm them down.
Reply:They use pliers instead of vice-grips
Reply:it's a gimmick to get people in the door. it's like hearing "trust me" when someone is about to tell you something.
Reply:A lie to get you into the chair. Dentists! I bit the last one. I'll do it again too. Grrrr!
Reply:It's just a catch phrase; probably a play on words in reference to "general dentistry." It's not quite as dramatic as "One Billion Served," but it serves the same purpose. It caught your attention.
