Medicine or Dentistry ???
Well, being a dentist, I'd have to say dentistry. Medicine requires more schooling [internship and residency at least] beyond medical school and when you practice you pretty much end up working for insurance companies. The hours are longer and take a toll on families as you're fairly married to your career. Dentists, for the most part, haven't succumb to being owned by insurance carriers....yet, so they aren't dictating your practice. Both careers are fairly stressful and require you to manage both the business and professional sides of your career and some people have a hard time with that. Financially, most dentists make about the same as a regular MD but not near as much as the specialists. Study hard in college as the competition to get into either school is fierce and you might contact schools now to get some advice on how best to prepare for admission besides taking the required courses. Also, if you are going into dentistry you will need to be good with your hands.
Reply:remember to be a dentist you will anyway learn about medicine. when i studied my first 3 years was exactly the same as the medical students. both professions are equally enjoyable and no job goes without its bad days

just follow ur heart

good luck
